Housing: Set on rocky or sandy substrates in areas with low to medium current amplitude allowing it to capture prey. The sea anemone is a multicellular animal or metazoan single organization (eumetazoan) whose functions are performed by different tissues and organs composed of specialized cells, stinging cells (cnidoblastes) used to capture prey that feeds the animal.

Description:The column has about 60 tentacles up to 8 cm long. The mouth in the center of the labial tentacles also serves anus.

Feeding: Generally the Cérianthe feeds mainly on small animals and plankton although able to swallow larger prey such as small fish.
