Distribution: Major part of the Indo-Pacific: Red Sea, the coast of East Africa, Caribbean. Description: Fish Angel Duke is one of the most beautiful Pomacanthidés possible. Mouth shaped beak is yellow, the throat is bluish gray. A line down each side of the eyes, around the back line slightly lower portion of the eye. The body itself is striped alternately white and yellow and blue vertical stripes. The caudal fin is yellow, the pectoral fins are transparent. Habitat: In the wild, this fish lives alone or in pairs. It is sometimes observed in group a score of individuals up to 10m deep. Food: crustaceans, sponges, tunicates and some algae. |
