Apogon nigrofasciatus

Distribution: Most of the Indo-Pacific: Red Sea coast of East Africa, Caribbean.

Description:Two horizontal black stripes are characteristic of the individual. Scratch lower part of the caudal fin and passes through eye and the mouth to continue onto the other side. The caudal fin is yellow, the pectoral fins are transparent.

Housing:This fish lives alone or in a group. It is sometimes observed in group a score of individuals up to 30m deep. Frequently asked only on a coral head or group in hard corals as tubastrea pavona.

Feeding: Crustaceans, sponges, tunicates and some algae.
