Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Red Sea to the Line Islands, Marquesas and Tuamotu Islands, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south of New Caledonia through Micronesia.

Description: The front part of the body is black, the back is white, the color separation is performed vertically from the ventral fins.

Housing: Depth: 10 to 12 meters. Species associated with the reef.

Feeding: Feeds on plankton. Juveniles are closely related to coral heads.
