Acanthurus coeruleus

Distribution: Atlantic west of Bermuda to Brazil, Caribbean. It usually varies between 5 and 30 meters deep.

Housing: Lives in small groups in shallow lagoons and inshore reefs.

Description: Size: up to 30 cm. Like all surgeon fish, it is "armed" with erectile spine located at the beginning of the rear fin.
This fish has three different dresses depending on its size. Juveniles are yellow, sub-adults are blue with yellow tail, adults are blue.

Feeding: Vegetarian, it absolutely devours everything vegetable, but also of "cherry picking" in corals.
