Distribution: Persian Gulf, Red Sea.

Habitat: Frequent reef slopes. Depth up to 210 m, juveniles live near the bottom, near reef formations.
It is not unusual to find the couple species, moving safely among other species.  

Description: Height between 15 and 20cm. Remarkable feature, a long filament extends its white curved dorsal fin. Horns are present above the eyes. The muzzle is pointed. The caudal fin is yellow like the back part of the body, an orange net brand back.

Food: This species can form large schools in open water, feeding on zooplankton, benthic invertebrates, but also dead jellyfish.
