Distribution: Western Pacific, Red Sea and East Africa, central and western Pacific, southern Japan and south to Sydney. Housing: Territorial she lives in the shallow lagoon and reefs, and aggressive associal trailers. One of the most remarkable on the reefs are the bridesmaids or family Pomacentridae fish. They constitute the majority of the fish on the reefs. Individuals are never far away from the coral head where they have settled. Description: Length: 80 mm. Dark blue dress with a white tail. Food: Feeds on zooplankton and filamentous algae. |
