Naso lituratus

Distribution: Indian Ocean, South Pacific and Red Sea.

Habitat: They frequent coral reefs, rocky reefs, lagoon coral heads, etc..
This habitat is, however, more marked on the exposed edges of the reef into deep water.

Description: This fish belongs to the family of surgeon fish, it has two orange scaly spines on each side of the tail, or his name, but not erectile scalpels.

Food: mainly brown algae laminated (Sargassum and Dictyota).
