Myliobatis noctula

Distribution: From the southern North Sea to South Africa. Also present in the Mediterranean, Red Sea.

Habitat: The eagle rays are part of the larger lines that live in open water rather than funds.

Description: With a wingspan of 80 cm to 1 m, it weighs about 15 kg. Entire ventral surface is white while the dorsal surface is usually brown covered with white spots. It has a tail shaped thin enough whip whose length can be twice the size of the body.
Excellent swimmers, their slow movement allows the viewer a sense of grace and elegance.

Food: They feed on shellfish they break with their extremely hard teeth.
