Distribution: The hawksbill turtle is found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

Description:For an average weight of 60 kg, size units does not exceed 90cm.
It owes its name to its position scales arranged like tiles on a roof. In the years 1940-1950, luxury trade that has developed around the scale of nested this endangered turtle species.
It is therefore protected by the Washington Convention, which regulates international trade in species of wild fauna and flora and Flora (CITES) species.

Habitat: clear waters of coral reefs, but can also be found in shallow rocky waters.

Food: It swims near the coast to feed on crabs, fish, sponges, shells.
